Individuals other than presidents have played
an enormous role in United States history. Andrew Carnegie and
industrialization and henry ford and the auto mobile have had to major changes
in the nation’s economy, government and society.
Andrew Carnegie is known as one of
the captains of industry in the 19th century. Andrew helped build
the American steel industry turning him very rich. Although his business helped
with the production of automobile and other steel products, Carnegie knew what
it was like to live in poverty. Later in his life, he sold his business and
gave his collective fortune away to cultural, educational, and scientific
institutions for “the improvement for mankind”.
In 1947, Henry Ford built his first
car. By 1903 he established the Ford Motor Company. In 1908 the first Model T
car was made. The Model T car was very expensive and only the wealthy can
afford it. Ford introduced revolutionary new mass production methods including
large production plans, the use of standardized and interchangeable parts.
By1913 the assembly line of affordable cars was created giving people means of
transportation.
Andrew Carnegie in industrialization
and Henry Ford with the automobile have had good impacts on society,
government, and economy.
